Guide to the political parties’ policies on vegetable growing

With the General Election just around the corner, NZVeg and Potatoes NZ have put together a high level guide to the political parties’ policies as they affect vegetable growing. 

'We have an important opportunity - with the General Election on 7 November - to engage with the next Government, and ensure vegetable growing is part of the conversation on New Zealand’s economic, environmental and food future,' says NZVeg CEO, Mike Brown.

'We need to be clear about the changes that would make a difference to growers, backed by evidence and real-world experience.

'Whatever the election outcome, NZVeg will work constructively with the incoming Government and relevant agencies to progress the priorities that matter to our sector.'
