Want to hear what the various political parties will do to support vegetable growing in New Zealand, now and in the future?
The NZ Vegetable Council (NZVeg), Potatoes NZ and Pukekohe Vegetable Growers Association are bringing together politicians from across the political spectrum to debate the future of vegetable growing, less than a month out from the General Election on 7 November.
The confirmed line up is as follows:
National | Todd McClay
ACT | Andrew Hoggard
NZ First | Mark Patterson
Labour | Jo Luxton
Greens | Steve Abel
MC | NZVeg Chair, Dame Alison Stewart.
The debate will be preceded by the Vegetables NZ AGM, which will start at 5pm.
Pre-debate refreshments will be kindly provided by NZVeg and Potatoes NZ, from 5.45pm. After the debate, a cash bar will operate. We expect the evening to conclude at 8pm.
